That shine won’t last past your first cook, but make no mistake that the durability of these surfaces–surfaces subjected to not just high heat, but acidic smoke and fats and oils–is something to note. The ledges, the RTD temperature sensor, the barrel walls, even the drip pan are gorgeous stainless steel. Open the lid and the inside is almost mirror-like, due to all the stainless steel.
